Yachin Bao, O.D.

Dr. Yachin  Bao is originally from China and moved to the U.S. in 1991. She has a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry from  Xiamen University, a Master degree in Biology from Marshall University,  and obtained her doctorate degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2003. She has received extensive training in Primary Care, Pediatrics, Glaucoma and pre and post-op management of patients who have undergone cataract and laser surgery, and scientific research.

Prior to starting Eagle Eye Center, Dr. Bao practiced for 5 years in many private and corporate settings. She provided primary and emergency eye care to patients of all ages in the community. Dr. Bao particularly enjoys examining the pediatric population and tries to make it a fun and stress-free experience. She also has a particular interest in fitting the latest technology in contact lenses in order to provide her patients with the best vision and comfort possible.

Dr Bao has participated in various local and international charities, including "give a gift of sight", vision screenings, hurricane Allison/Katrina relief, etc. Her dedication to her community has been demonstrated in many ways, especially through her church. She has been the leading doctor in the eye clinic in  her Church's annual health day since 2007. ( HCC Health Day News)

During her free time, Dr. Bao enjoys playing piano, reading, biking and spending time  with her family and her beautiful American Eskimo.

Dr. Bao is fluent in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese.
